31 Dec 2011 : Winter Training and Spring Break
Our first day of winter training begins on Tuesday, Jan 3rd @ 3:45 pm at the RAC. Please bring payment for winter dues: people who are already RAC members only need to bring the RRC winter dues. People who are not RAC members also need to stop by the front desk and get a temporary membership for three months.

If you have not yet submitted all the required membership and medical forms, please bring those as well. You can print them out from the website.

Novices and others who are not vying for Varsity status should come on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and be ready to start at 3:45. Varsity athletes should come every day during the week and on Saturdays at 9 am. Two unexcused absences will forfeit your varsity letter.

Spring break is mandatory for Varsity athletes and is highly recommended for everyone. It is a great time for team-building and is a lot of fun. The more people that go, the cheaper it will be.  In order to save 2 nights of hotels, we will leave on the evening of March 29th and return the morning of April 8th. We will also need some parents to chaperone and to help organize the trip. If you talk to any of the parents or rowers that have gone on previous trips, you'll find out that they really are a blast. I highly recommend the trip for everyone.

Please also keep in mind that we are always recruiting - anyone from 7th grade through 12th is welcome to try it out for free for two weeks.

If you have any questions, please email me.

thanks,
John

23 Mar 2011 : Junior Rowers Head to Philly
RRC's Junior rowers leave for Philly tomorrow evening for nine days away and 7 days of training out of the St Joe's boathouses.

The calendar says it all - seven days of rowing, workouts, and fun. Our schedule is on the calendar on the left menu.

We will be all about breaking bread together, trying new things and remembering it's about the kids.  Sebastien Richer and Phil Greipp look forward to coaching the kids and getting them ready for the Spring racing season.

We will be taking 9 girls and 6 boys this year - more than double last years group. And if luck holds out the 10+ new novices will be with us next year.

Any questions - Coach Phil Greipp
