This is my first year rowing.

Previously, a sweep rower in high school. My goal is to get back into competitive rowing for fun and fitness.  I am able to row either starboard or port in a crew and just learning the art of sculling.  Will participate in either singles or doubles.  My first sculling race ever was in a double at the Head of Miss in 2011.  For fitness, I also like to hit the gym, kayak and bike. 

I am semi-retired and volunteer my time to different community activities.  I pursue other hobbies like woodworking, playing the sax and golfing.

I am willing to help build the club any way I can.

Swimmer for 5 years and this is my first year rowing, either way, my place is in the water. :)

I rowed for Purdue University, and have enjoyed helping with RRC in the past.  I hope to getting back into rowing and helping RRC.

I currently attend Century High School. I have also been a member of the Rochester Swim Club Orcas and the Century swim team. Besides rowing, I also enjoy playing ultimate.

I play tennis and soccer and thought that rowing would be good cross training.

I am a junior at Century High School.  I swim for Century and heard about the rowing club through a teammate.  I want to row because I think it will be a lot of fun and I think it is a great way to stay in shape during the off season of swimming.

I'm an older master's rower -- who came to rowing when I no longer could play competitive hockey.  I am happily married (Cindy) with two sons, one in graduate school (Phil) and one in college (Dave).  My rowing goal is to make it to the Head of the Charles -- in part so I can visit son #2 in the process. My slightly longer term goal is to make it back to the CRASH Bs in 2011 for a second visit to the land of the Charles.  

Swimmer

I was introduced to rowing in Toronto where rowed for Varsity Blues at the University of Toronto, ON, before I moved to Rochester. I am excited to help building and expanding an adult rowing community at the Rochester Rowing Club.

I'll sweep (port) or scull. I've rowed since 1997, including years of competition, even HOCR.

Preventive Medicine fellow at Mayo. Rowed 4 years in mixed 8 (7 seat) and 4. Raced the Des Moines Regatta 3 times, Iowa Games once. Rowed port but able to row starboard. Have also sculled single, double, and quad.

I'm a ninth grader at Lourdes High School. I also play soccer.

I'm from Ohio University and row for their club team.  I will be in Rochester over the summer and hope to get some water time in.

My name is Gavin and I am very excited to start rowing. Some facts...I have never rowed before, but am an avid swimmer and soccer player. In addition, I run often in my spare time!

I heard about rowing at school, although I could not attend the meeting because I had a schedule conflict.  I am very active physically as a member of the Lourdes Cross Country, Swimming, and Lacrosse teams and I also lift weights regularly.  I am interested in trying rowing because the sport seems like it will be physically demanding and a fun new challenge.

I'm an associate coach for the RRC during the summer, and during the year I row for University of Minnesota. I'm willing to schedule practices with anyone who wants to at almost any time of the day!

I have never done rowing before but i am really excited to learn.

        

I'll be a sophomore at Mayo High School this upcoming school year. This is my first time rowing. In addition I play both basketball and volleyball. I enjoy working out in my free time as well!

Rowed since 1996. Bachelors Boat Club in Philadelphia. Comes to Rochester in Jul 2011.

I'm 13 and in 7th grade at Willow Creek. This is my second year of coxing/rowing. In addition to rowing, I love reading and writing fiction, animals, and hanging out with friends.

I am interested in joining the Adult rowing group and/or assisting with coaching. I rowed for Bob back in 2004. I am currently a Nurse and work both Day and Evening shifts. The majority of my shifts are Days from 7-3:30pm.

I started rowing at the RRC in high school in 2006 then graduated in 2007 and i have rowed from 2007 until now at St. Cloud State University.

Finishing Grade 9 at Century; moved to Rochester from Canada in 2008.
